Fabulous felting Saturday 4th August

The lovely Carol returns on 4th August with an opportunity to get our hands on some felting techniques.  She will be showing us how to create fabulous felted textiles and turn them into purses and wallets. Coloured fleeces can be felted to create delicate patterns or bold designs. You can also use these techniques to make oyster card holders, tea cosies or even bags. Or you can cut up the felted textiles to make beautifully detailed and textured brooches.

These pictures include felted purses we made at another Crafty Pint workshop and illustrations from Gillian Harris’ Complete Felt Making.  A copy of Gillian’s book will be on hand for added inspiration.  Carol will also bring examples of her lovely felted textiles.

Carol will bring natural fleeces in an array of different colours and demonstrate basic and decorative felting techniques.  We have lots of wonderful colours for you to choose from…

Of you can combine these colours to make you own Team GB or Olympic souvenirs…

This will be a fun and messy workshop, lots of soapy water and vigorous action as well as creative surprises!
