The Crafty North

Our first outing North with Crafty Pint was fantastic fun, and once again we were bowled over by the beautiful brooches everyone made. After demos of different brooch making techniques by each of the Seaside Sisters, our Crafty Pinters spent the afternoon fashioning flowers, ruffles and rosettes from our collection of vintage fabrics and haberdashery.

Everyone got to make two or three flowers using different techniques, helped along by yummy madeleines, rhubarb and custard cake and flapjacks homebaked by the Seaside Sisters.  These are just a few of the fabulous creations that were then made into hair clips and brooches.

Looking forward to seeing you all again at our Printmaking workshop on July 16th.

Many thanks to Beth and her team at The Stapleton Tavern for hosting our first workshop and keeping us supplied with ale and tea.
