Crafty Pint and The Railway bring you a summer fête with a huge dose of crafty and a side show of make do and mend. We will be taking over the pub garden and transforming it into a crafty hub of fun and creativity.
At our summer fête with twist, we invite you to spend an afternoon creating, making and up-cycling with Streatham’s talented artists and designers. Learn something new at our creative workshops, dress-up in our glamour booth with your own handmade accessories, make mini outfits for your toy pets and then take part in the Best in Show Parade. Create vegetable sculptures, win prizes in our crafty tombola, and many more handmade shenanigans from felting and stitching to stamping and printing! All ages are welcome to come and join in and make your own fête!
This event is part of the Streatham Festival and co-incides with the Lane & Vale Carnival and The Railway pub farmers market. The carnival parade will feature the famous Giant Mechanical Elephant, The Binbots, Bollywood Brass Band, Vintage Cars, and much more! A lively high energy carnival parade will depart Streatham Common at 10:30am with a second parade departing Streatham Vale at 12 noon. After the carnival and fete, take a stroll up Greyhound Lane to join the Streatham Festival on Streatham Common for a glamorous afternoon of dancing, tea and fun.
Jane has made a beautiful banner for The Railway Pub, well worth dropping in for a preview of what we will have on offer.
Join us on Saturday 13th July for an afternoon of crafty fun. There is no need to book, there will be lots of activities to choose from and all workshops are drop in. Workshops will mainly be low prices, including many free activities. Please do email Gillian at Crafty Pint If you would like more information.
