Win a copy of Material World

This is going to be a tough competition.  Perri Lewis’ new book ‘Material World’ is the amazing prize we have for our special Crafty Pint Xmas Competition, and I’m not sure I can part with my copy! It’s one of those craft books I keep returning to, packed with insights from people involved in all aspects of craft (including Crafty Pint!). The book is divided by different crafty disciplines, some familiar like printing and embroidery, and others that are new to me, like quilling and tailoring.  Each section helps you get started and shares tips for trouble shooting problems. There are insights into the work of leaders from each field, as well as insider tips, and of course some brilliant projects. But what makes this book different are the chapters in between, discussing different aspects of the handmade and craft scene, from the therapeutic benefits of crafting (something that underpins our philosophy at Crafty Pint) to the great art and craft debate. It’s a craft book that encourages you to think and reflect on your work. I really am going to have to get a copy of my own.

The competition is open to everyone attending our Crafty Pint Handmade Xmas Workshops on 1st December.  Fill out a lucky voucher with your email and post it in our xmas post box.  Good luck Crafty Pinters!
