Fabric Nation

Handmade in Tooting designers and makers will be taking part in this years Tooting, Balham & Furzedown Art Trail.  The Art Trail, part of Wandsworth Artists Open House, takes place on the first two weekends of October  – 1st & 2nd October and 8th & 9th October 2011 from 11am to 6pm.  We have a fabulous trail of open houses and studios weaving through the streets of Furzedown, Balham and Tooting, featuring work from local artists, including paintings, prints, textiles, jewellery, ceramics, video, photographs and much more. We even have a competition, leave your contact details at each house you visit for a chance to win a meal for two at the Wheatsheaf Pub, Tooting Bec.

Caragh Buxton

Handmade in Tooting designers and makers will be at Venue 73 on your guide where Caragh Buxton, Fabric Nation and Mandy Treptow will be displaying their colourful homewares using textiles, ceramics and glass along with Neil Randall’s photographs and sculpture.

Look out for the orange and purple balloons or the Aspire Open House signs for participating artists and studios. A warm welcome awaits you at our homes ands studios where we look forward to telling you more about our work, and you might even walk home with some original art or at least a smile on your face and some home baked cake. You can view a map here, or look out for the guides in local cafes, shops and bars.
