Fabulous brooch making
Thank you everyone who came along to our brooch workshop and made it such a fabulous afternoon. We were blown away by all the creativity and beautiful brooches, hair clips and alice bands you designed and made.
Our lovely Crafty Pinters choose from Fabric Nation’s stash of textiles, mixing and matching polka dots, stripes, patterns and gingham in all manner of colours in vintage, retro and contemporary designs. Stitching up brocades, silks, cotton, linens and tweeds, and teaming them up with adornments selected from our treasure chest of vintage buttons, beads and felt flowers.
We tried out different brooch making techniques, flowers, suffolk puffs, ruffles, and rosettes, and mixed them all up to create unique and marvellous textile accessories. And we even had time to sample some very fine strawberry cider from the cellars of the Tooting Tram and Social. Many thanks to Rachel and the Tram team for keeping our drinks topped up!
We had a wonderful afternoon with you all. Hope to see you at another Crafty Pint workshop soon and enjoy wearing your wonderful creations, all handmade by you in Tooting!
